Obsession?

So...my darling husband is patient and kind enough to take me to see the movie Twilight.  A preface here: I've joined thousands of other women (and yes teens) in a race to see who can read the whole series in the shortest amount of time.  Ok, not really a race but it's a group that's fairly taken with the series and we just can't seem to put the books down until we're finished.

We're at the movie and I figure, no movie is ever really as good as the book and our own imaginations.  A couple sits behind us.  Never mind that there are 200 empty seats.  I think, well maybe they're used to sitting in that particular spot when they go to the movies.  Usually, Durk and I choose the very back to eliminate having any possible chair kickers, talkers behind us.  We didn't do that this time.  It wasn't packed.

So they sit behind us.  As the movie begins, the girl begins to explain to (Durk was certain they were on a date) her date what's happening.  As the characters introduce themselves and say their names, she tells her date their names (maybe he's hard of hearing?).  To her credit, she doesn't do this the whole time.  It was kinda funny.  I thought 'she's really excited about this movie and sharing details that are only in the book with her date' (hopefully not first date).

The movie wasn't that great, of course.  And that was fine.   I even looked at my sweet husband mid way and said "are you alright with staying?  we can go if you want, not a problem".  He said he was fine.  So we stayed.  Our neighbor behind us would spout out facts to her date every once in a while.  As I heard the woman loudly 'whisper' (and her date try to 'shush' her every once in a while), I shook my head and smiled with relief.  Because for a little while there, every time I finished a book I thought -- am I out of my mind?  Am I obsessed?  The woman in the theater clearly showed me that I'm just fine.  I just need some entertainment every once in a while.  As for movie review girl -- not sure.  I just hope that wasn't their first date -- cause we all know it'll probably be their last.
